Lisbon Attractions

Lisbon attractions provide the traveler and visitor with a wide range of activities, sights, sounds and great things to do and place to play.  Known for its stunning ocean views given that it’s built on seven hills, Lisbon prides itself on its wonderful heritage and laid back friendliness. 

A wealth of year-round activities are awaiting the vacationer that enjoys exploring the sights, sounds and smells of a rich culture and its white washed buildings topped with characteristic red tile roofs.  Even getting around the hills of the city is fun via its trams and funiculars as well as walking up its stepped, distinctive alleyways.  The Rossio is Lisbon’s central source of people watching and trendy places, and plenty of fun districts elsewhere are a delight, like Chiado, Baixa, Alfama and the magnificent plaza called Praca do Comercio.  Big on museums and galleries, Lisbon sights include the Museu Nacional de Arte Antigua, featuring amazing 14th to 19th century European great pieces like Hieronymus Bosch's Temptations of St Antony.  

All in all, there’s plenty to do and see in this culturally rich and vibrant city.
