Sep 20 , 2011

Silk Club

If you don't mind putting a little of bit of preparation into your night out in Lisbon clubs, like arranging entry online, and sending in a head shot, Silk Club could be the place for you. Let's face it the kind of place that is members and guest list only is bound to be of the high end type. If you manage to get on the guest list for a night in Silk Club, dress super smartly and remember to take your platinum card along with you.

Belem Café Bar

This club is a favorite amongst Lisbon's regular clubbers and draws in a fair number of tourists too, and for good reason. Belem Café Bar ticks all the boxed for a fun, boozy and debauched night out. This is an all in complex that includes restaurants, bars, and clubs. You can slip through your night out effortlessly from dinner, into drinks, to dancing without the need for a cab.

Lux Fragil

Head here if super clubs are your thing. You won't find any Lisbon clubs with a crowd as big and as up for a good time as this place on a weekend night. Lux Fragil is where Lisbon's young, hip things go when the only thing on their mind is dancing. This riverside warehouse everything from rooftop bar to chill out zones, and a monstrous dance floor. Climb up to the roof terrace at sunrise to see the whole estuary light up.

Tamariz

This one is a short taxi ride away from the center of Lisbon bit it is attached to a casino so you can make a whole night of it. Tamariz Club is an easy night out without pretensions. Expect huge serving of local spirits, cheesy music, raucous dancing and a lot of staggering around the dance floor. It's open air, it's popular and it is the top pick amongst Lisbon clubs for summer style partying. The dress code is smart casual, but you won't be turned away for wearing shorts or sandals.

Lollipop

Alternative clubbing in Lisbon doesn't get any better than at Lollipop. This warehouse club is where Lisbon's art lovers and alternative folk hide out on a Saturday night away from the chinos and suits of other clubs. Come here with an open mind and leave with a bevy of new friends and probably an invite to party or two. Just remember to leave any attitude at the door.

If you're gonna dance, you've got to drink. Start the oiling process early on at one of these Lisbon bars beforehand.
